The colonist drank tea everyday and didn't want to pay taxes on tea. They decided to dress up as Indians and dump the tea. They are now boarding the ship and getting ready to dump the tea. This is to show England they don't want taxes.
They are dumping the tea because they don't want to pay taxes on it. They are going to rebel against the British government and waste their money. They weren't worried if they get arrested, because they know they won't get caught. The ships they boarded were the Beaver, Dartmouth, and Eleanor.
On December 16, 1773, the colonists dumped 92,000 pounds of tea into the water. 340 crates of tea. Dumping the tea caused a lot of acts for the colonists. This also sparked the American Revolution in 1775.
