Go to The Promised Land
I finally built a civilization, Thank You God! for this beautiful land!
We are only able to believe in one god. (MONOTHEISM)
Abraham was important because he was known as the Father of Hebrews. He was also told by God to move him and his family to "The Promised Land" (Canaan or Israel) from Ur (a city-state from Mesopotamia. Also, he was important because Hebrew culture and religion began with him.
Abraham was important for many other reasons as well, like how when he went to "The Promised Land" he claimed and settled in Canaan. In addition, he then established his own culture and religion, as well as creating his own civilization. Also, later on Canaan was starting to be known as Israel
Abraham was important because he made the belief that there is only one god in the Hebrew culture. He told people to to believe in monotheism (belief in one god). Monotheism set Israelites apart from other cultures in the ancient times. Another thing is that after all of this there was a Great Famine so the Israelites had to move.
