The theme absolute power corrupts absolutely first emerges when the three witches tell both Macbeth and Banquo their prophecies. They don't know if they should believe the witches but any person would want to believe this because of how much power you would have if these prophecies came true
The theme really starts to develop when lady Macbeth receives the letter from her husband. She believes that the king at that moment had to die in order for Macbeth to become and that would be the only way he would become king. Thinking about all of the things that come with with kingship Macbeth's wife says that she will do whatever it take to help him succeed.
Another important part is when Macbeth is getting ready to murder the king and out of nowhere a floating dagger appears before him. Macbeth starts to go crazy thinking about what he has to do even though he is a good person and doesn't want to kill the king
The tone that i am using for the beginning of the text is darkness and evil. Lady Macbeth says "unsex me here" which means she did not want any motherly or loving instincts anymore . The reason in doing so is because she was not very sure if Macbeth was up to the task at hand and she would kill the king if she had to.
What is that noise? Seyton. It is the cry of women, my good lord Macbeth. I have almost forgot the taste of fears. I have supped full with horrors. This is figurative language and is basically saying that Macbeth has seen and done so many horrible things that he has now become familiar of it and it no longer affects him.
In the end of this play Macduff kills and beheads Macbeth ending his rule as king. Since the beginning of his kingship Macbeth made himself look bad and unready to rule as king people saw this and didn't want him as king so some people fled while others sided with the other army that was going to take over Macbeth's kingdom. Also some people believed that Macbeth killed the king so Macbeth killed every single person who suspected this.
