  • Character Flaw
  • Pride
  • Reversal of Furtune
  • He is not sure about his emotions or how to express them throughout  the play, this is his character flaw because he is young and he cant make a strong decision.  Scene example:when he asked Juliet to marry her after 3 days. (Town of Verona)
  • Moment of critical discovery
  • He decided to stand up to Tybalt which showed his pride of what he stood for. "Tybalt, you ratcatcher, will you walk?" Scene example: Street of Vernona
  • Fate Worse then he Deserves
  • He decided to stand up to Tybalt and got banned which caused no communication with Juliet. Scene example: Mantua  "Will you tell me that? His son was but a ward two years ago"(38).
  • Pity for Tragic hero
  • When Romeo went to get  the poison from Apothecary it turned everything around because because it was not aloud and he would have been killed if he was caught using it or buying it "Such mortal drugs I have; but Mantuas law is death to any he that utters them."(66).
  • Since he thought Juliet was already dead he decided to kill himself before he knew the whole truth which resulted very badly which involved him dying and juliet ding as well"worse posion to mens soul"(80). Scene example:At the end of the play when juliet is just waking up and Romeo already drank the poison.
  • Well they ended up burring Romeo and juliet by each other that has to mean that in the long run the parents would rather have their children alive still rather then dead. But since they were buried together this shows that the parents would have joined if needed.
