Description In act 3 Macbeth wants the three murderers are planning on killing Banquo away from the palace so it doesn't seem like it was Macbeth that did it. Macbeth is having nightmares and believes that being dead is better than being haunted. Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are having a dinner and she wants him to calm down and put a smile on his face so it doesn't seem like something sketchy is going on with them.

Description A theme in act 3 is insanity is the result of a guilty conscience. The text states " [to the Ghost]. Avaunt, and quit my sight! Let the earth hide thee. Thy bones are marrowless; thy blood is cold; Thou hast no speculation in those eyes Which thou dost glare with." Macbeth is starting to see Banquo's ghost.

Description The three witches meet Hecate who looks very angry. Hecate asks the three witches why they told Macbeth about the prophecies and showed him there powers and the things they could do. The witches corrupted the mind of Macbeth turning him spiteful and wrathful doing anything and everything to get what he wants.

Description After seeing Banquo's ghost he says to his wife "Blood will have blood" (3,4,123). The text is saying that Banquo is seeking out blood or revenge for what has been done to him.
