Storyboard Text

• Did you remember to do the big slope project for math?
• No, I completely forgot to do it, and I don't understand how to do it. Want to come home with me todayand help me?
• I will help you throughout the day as well. First, the description of slop is the incline, steepness, diredtion, grade, of the rate of change. The slope of a line is a numerical measure of linear relationship steepness.
• Up to the right: The slope is positive Horizontal: The slope is zero Down to the right: The slope is Negative Vertical: The slope is undefined/there is no slope
• Does anyone have any questions before the bell rings?
• What are the different equations for slope?
• There are three different equations that could be used for slope. Official Formula: Y2-Y1 divided by X2-X1 Other equations that could be used are: Rise divided by Run Change in Y divided by Change in X
• Up to the right: The slope is positive Horizontal: The slope is zero Down to the right: The slope is Negative Vertical: The slope is undefined/there is no slope
• And I am sure that we all know that sleeping is not tolerated in this class. Can somebody please tell me the two different types of linear equations?
• There is a Standard form, that is Ax+By=C, and there is Slope-Intercept that is  y=mx+b.
• Ring Ring
• That is correct, in the standard form, A,B, and C are all integers. In the Slope-Intercept equation, m=slope and b=Y-Intercept. This type of math is used in contruction, architecture, accounting, economics, enineering, science, and even building roads.
