  • The dead has arised & who knows what they're capable of!
  • Macbeth hires somebody to kill Banquo, But he later on see's his "ghost". He then get's paranoid and starts seeing him everywhere. Also, he wanted the murderer to leave so he's not one to blame.
  • RL.4 Analyze the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text including figurative,connotative, and technical meanings 
  • "Look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under't." The theme is to show how looks can be deceiving. The people see Macbeth as a savior because of how we beat the king of Norway. However, he isn't what everyone thinks. Macbeth had threatened people to kill Banquo for their freedom. (1.5.56-58)
  • RL.4Analyze the cumulative impact of specific word choices on meaning Analyze the cumulative impact of specific word choices on tone.
  • "The time has been that, when the brains were out, the man would die, and there an end. But now they rise again with twenty mortal murderers on their crowns, and push us from their stool." Meaning, that when you kill someone, they would stay dead. Now they rise reminding us about our crimes. & surprise us when we least expect it. (3.5.98-102)
  • Conclusion/work on adding 4 category level (on the rubric) to your project. 
  • "Then live, Macduff. What need I fear of thee?But yet I’ll make assurance double sure, And take a bond of fate. Thou shalt not live,That I may tell pale-hearted fear it lies, And sleep in spite of thunder." Meaning that Macbeth thinks he doesn't need to kill him, nor does he fear him. Macbeth says he will kill him so he can sleep easy at night. (4.1.85)
