  • All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!

  • You're not the husband i thought you were! Kill the king!

  • Theme Development
  • Kill Banquo. He is our enemy. 
  • Macbeth gets prophecy from three witches saying he will be king. Banquo also gets some prophecy saying he will bring kings.
  • Tone
  • Lady Macbeth finds out that he will be king. Lady Macbeth wants to kill the king so she can be queen. She convinces Macbeth to kill the king. Macbeth finally agree and they both kill him together.
  • Figurative Language
  • I think our country sinks beneath the yolk, it weeps, it bleeds,
  • Macbeth is now king. He wants his royalty in his family so he kills Banquo after he remembers that he will bring kings which are his sons.
  • 
  • The tone for Act I is greedy and dark. In the beginning of Act I, when Lady Macbeth finds out Macbeth will be king, she wants to kill the king so she can become queen. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth kill the king so become royals. In the beginning, Banquo gets prophecy from the three witches saying he will bring kings. Macbeth kills Banquo because he wants the royalty in his family in Act III scene 3. In Act 4 Malcolm convinces Macduff to join him and an army to kill Macbeth so he can be the rightful king.
  • What Malcolm means about his kingdom sinking is that it is going to fall down because of Macbeth. Malcolm convinces Macduff to join him and the English army to fight and kill Macbeth so he can be the rightful king of Scotland.
