The king is dead!
In act III Macbeth hires people to kill Banquo then later the guilt gets to him and he starts seeing his ghost. This portrays the theme that ambition leads to insanity because he is willing to do anything to be the king. Later in act three the witches reveal that they are toying with Macbeth and Hecate, the leader of the witches doesn’t like it because they are not including her in their plans.

In the Beginning of act III, Macbeth hires 3 murderers that hate Banquo to kill him. “O, treachery! Fly, good Fleance, fly, fly, fly! Thou mayst revenge—O slave!” This has relevance because Banquo tells Fleance to run and leave him behind so Macbeth can get caught because Banquo knows Macbeth killed the king.

This word choice shows that Lady Macduff’s son cares about his mother and he wants her to escape by pretty much telling her that there is no saving him so Lady Macduff survives but her son doesn’t.
