  • the cell membrane controls the movement of the substance in and out of cells and organells 
  • The cell membrane controls the movement of substances in and out of cells and organelles.
  • The jelly-like fluid that fills a cell is called cytoplasm. It is made up of mostly water and salt.
  •  endoplasmic reticulum (ER). While the function of the nucleus is to act as the cell brain, the ER functions as a manufacturing and packaging system.
  •  Ribosomes float freely in the cytoplasm, and are also bound to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER).
  •  Turning on the Powerhouse. Mitochondriaare known as the powerhouses of the cell. They are organelles that act like a digestive system which takes in nutrients, breaks them down, and creates energy rich molecules for the cell
