The coach noticed Roger’s skill so he puts him in a drill with a returning football cornerback to guard him for the final play. The ball is hut and Roger sprints past the cornerback and becomes wide open. The pass is thrown directly to him, but it hit him in the hands and bounced off.
Roger calms himself down and realizes that it’s ok if he doesn't make the team. He has never played football before and has had no prior knowledge of it.
I hate homework.
Roger goes to school the next day and rushes to see the list of names. At the very bottom he sees his name and bursts with joy.
"Make sure to train for next season everyone."
"See you next season!"
Roger realizes that the season is going to end soon and he hasn’t played much during the season, so he tries as hard as he can during practice and volunteers in anything. The coach notices this and tries to get him playing time in games.
The coach warned the team about must having good enough grades to stay on the team. Roger unfortunately doesn't have good enough grades and works on getting better ones or he will be kicked off. Roger works hard and gets his grade average up
The season is over, but he has made many new friends and learned many things. He continues to get good grades and trains for the next season.
