  • What is that? A whale?
  • Who is he? Where did he come from?
  • Esteban
  • The children where playing when they saw something in the water. At first they thought it was a whale until the body of a drowned man come closer.
  • Lets just dump him. Why do you care so much?...Esteban!
  • The men of the village set out to find where this man's body had come from while the women set to cleaning the very dirty body.
  • Once the body had been cleaned, the eldest woman deamed that he looked like an Esteban. Many women agreed to the name and that the body was of the largest and most handsome that they had ever seen.
  • Look there, where the sun's so bright that the sunflowers don't know which way to turn, yes, over there, that's Esteban's village.
  • The men returned with news that no other village had claimed the body. After a long journey, the men wanted to get rid of the body quickly. However, the women wanted to plan a perfect funeral for Esteban.
  • He's ours! His funeral must be perfect!
  • The body had been covered up at first, but once the women revealed the body the men understood that it was Esteban. The entire village crowded around for the funeral; for Esteban.
  • The village would now have wider doors, higher ceilings, stronger floors, painted house fronts gay colors, broken backs digging for springs among the stones, and planted flowers in memory of Esteban.
