  • By asking those who have PTSD how they are feeling, it will be easier for them to open up to how they are going with the disorder.
  • Sure
  • Hey so I remember promising to take you out to the movies today. Let's go!!!!
  • By creating a set routine for those with PTSD to follow it gives them a sense of stability and security
  • Im going to beat you!!!
  • Hey your really good at sports do u want to have a race
  • It is good to talk about the future plans as it counteracts the feeling that they don't have a future. However, do not push for an answer
  • I have been feeling great
  • Hey so how do u think you have been managing this week? Btw you dont have to answer
  • By keeping your promises it allows for a strong level of trust to be formed between you and the person with PTSD
  • By reassuring their strengths it tells them that you believe that they will be able to recover from his disorder.
  • By reminding them that they do not have to tell you everything, it gives them a sense of trust and also allows them to ease into opening up.
