  • It is good to talk about the future plans as it counteracts the feeling that they don't have a future. However, do not push for an answer

  • By keeping your promises it allows for a strong level of trust to be formed between you and the person with PTSD
  • By reassuring their strengths it tells them that you believe that they will be able to recover from his disorder.
  • By reminding them that they do not have to tell you everything, it gives them a sense of trust and also allows them to ease into opening up.
