  • In both "Pandora's Box" and "The Monkey's Paw" magic is within the object they behold. In the text "Pandora's Box" the magic is held within the jewelry box from the Gods. In "The Monkey's Paw" the magic is within the paw. The paw contains three wishes for the person to make.

  • Be careful handling this!
  • In both texts "Pandora's Box and "The Monkey's Paw" curiosity gets the best of the characters. In ''Pandora's Box" Pandora is curious on what is inside the box. She then opens it to find pure evil in it. In "The Monkey's Paw" Mr. and Mrs. White's son uses the paw to wish for two tons. He then later dies because of his wish.

  • In both "Pandora's Box" and "The Monkey's Paw curiosity ruled. But in "Pandora's Box" Pandora hid the box under her bed to try to stop her curiosity. On the other hand, in "The Monkey's Paw", the characters just paw out in the open. 
  • In both "Pandora's Box" and "The Monkey's Paw" their endings are different. In "Pandora's Box" the ending is positive because their hope that is let out into the world.  On the other hand in "The Monkey's Paw" the ending is negative because their son comes back to life but he is not actually him.
