  • The original Constitution was an agreement between the 13 colonies of the united states.
  • The Great Compromise and the 3/5 compromise
  • Shay's Rebellion took place because the rural population beleived that the richer population was providing unfair economic terms on them.
  • The Virgina and New Jersey Plan
  • The constitutional convention was a meeting that delagates went to. While they were there the created a new government, and also ratified the constitution.
  • They Ratified the constitution
  • The great compromise was about the dispute between the large and small states. It decied that there would be two parts of Congress: The senate and the house of representatives. The 3/5 compromise gave slave the right to vote but their vote would only count as 3/5 of a person.
  • The Virginia plan was based on national and state Government system with a seperation of powers (The three branches). The New Jersey plan was a legislature of only one house and featured equal representation in each state.
  • Even though the constituton was accepted by the convention it still had to be ratified by the people of the United States before it could it would be affective.
