  • DYNAMIC CHARACTERIZATION
  • hullo darling! tired darling?
  • hullo darling. yes. tired. i'm leaving you, there is someone else. we love each other
  • EFFECT ON OTHERS
  • i'll get the supper
  • THOUGHTS
  • Mary had been waiting for a while for her husband to finally arrive home. When he gets home she is very delighted to see him and greets him as he walks in and takes a drink.
  • ACTIONS
  • This is an example of effect on others because Patrick Maloney said something to effect Mary's emotions. She was happy to see her husband but now she is filled with sadness and anger.
  • LOOKS
  • Afraid so ma'am..
  • Is he dead?  I went to the grocer for some vegetables and came back and hes laying on the floor!
  • This is an example of thoughts because she has the leg of lamb and she is feeling all these emotions towards her husband. She is thinking what she can do to her husband to get revenge for breaking her heart.
  • SPEECH
  • Here you all are, and good friends of dear Patrick’s too, and helping to catch the man who killed him. You must be terrible hungry by now because it’s long past your suppertime, and I know Patrick would never forgive me, God bless his soul, if I allowed you to remain in his house without offering you decent hospitality. Why don’t you eat up that lamb?
  • This is an example of actions because after she thought about what she was going to do with the leg of lamb, she acted upon hitting him with it.
  • This is an example of looks because she is faking her emotions/looks so that the police men can believe her when she says that she walked in and saw him dead.
  • This is an example of speech because she is persuading the police men on eating the evidence which shows that this character is good at showing speech
