Storyboard Text

  • In Crete with King Minos and the princess
  • In Athens, the kings army has invaded
  • Still in Athens, Theseus is with the Children
  • A long time ago in Acient Greece, when the land was split into kingdoms. King Minos rued the island of Crete. He was a powerful leader, and had a beautiful daughter Ariadne.
  • Back in Crete, Theseus is meeting King Minos and the Princess
  • Having all of this power he demanded a powerful army. Often King Minos woled send ships out to the surrounding kingdoms. Athens decided to stop this war to sacrifice 7 boys and 7 girls.
  • Theseus has Entered the Maze, the Minotaur is approaching
  • The sacrifices went on for 9 years. Theseus decides that he would stop the sacrifices to the minotaur, so he traveld to Crete with the children to enter the maze. Theseus said to his father, on his return if he surrvived, he would sail with white sails.
  • Theseus on the ship returning to Athens
  • When Theseus got to Crete, King Minos, and his daughter Ariadne came out to greet them. The Princess and Theseus fell in love at frist sight, and the princess did not want him to get killed by the Minotaur, so she gave him a sword and a ball of string.
  • Whn he enterd the maze, theseus tied the stringto the door, and made his way to the center to wake up the Minotaur. When the beast awoke, theseus killed the minotaur with one swish of his sword to the beast's neck.
  • After Theseus defeated the minotaur, he and Ariadne saild back to Athens , stopping at a small island of Naxo. The princess fell asleep on the island. Thesues and the children left the princess behind, and continued back to athens. The boat sailed with black sail so theseus father feard thed worst, and jumped off a cliff to his death. Theseus then became king, as he was the heir to the throne.
