I want to prove the government wrong
I am right and the government must be changed.
Winston is shown as an antihero when he shows his dissatisfaction with the government and writes it in his diary. He is not hurting anyone and is therefore not a villain but an anti hero
"I know, of course that the past is falsified, but it would never be possible for me to prove it." (155) Winston wants to prove the government wrong to help the people of Oceania have freedom but knows he is not able to do so meaning he is an anti hero.
"He was in the right! they where wrong and he was right. (81) Winston is beginning to feel wronged by the government and he is beginning to want to do something about it. He is wanting to change the government to try to help the people making him an antihero.
