The important event in Gn 8:1-22 was about how God remembered Noah, his family and all the wild animals were still with him in the ark. Noah was in a boat and the flood hadn’t left and they wanted to get off because the animals were smelling, tired and they didn't have fresh food. First, they sent the raven and it came back, Noah sent it again and it didn't come back because it found land when the water receded. Then they released a dove but It came back. Next he sent a dove again but that time it did not come back it found land. Finally, when land was dry God told Noah to leave the ark with his wife and everyone else in it and he told them to fertile and multiply. Then Noah built and altar with burnt offerings to the Lord and when the Lord smelled the sweet odor he told himself that he would never again curse the ground because of human beings.
"He waited yet another seven days and then released the dove; but this time it did not come back " (Gn 8: 12).
"In the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first day of the month, the water began to dry up on the earth"(Gn 8:13a).
"Bring out with you every living thing that is with you-all creatures, be they birds or animals or crawling things that crawl on the earth and let them abound on the earth, and be fertile and multiply on it"(Gn 8: 17).
Moral: Be patient and don't force things before God's time
