The Boston Massacre occurred on April, 1775. This was the first battle of the Revolutionary War and it occurred on April of 1775. Captain John Parker took the American soldiers to war in Lexington and Concord, but General Gage and his British soldiers won the battle. "The “shot heard ‘round the world” is celebrated every year in Massachusetts and Maine. Patriots’ Day, as it is called, is the third Monday of April," (History textbook, pg. 175).
In June of 1775, General William Howe Colonel William Prescott lead the British to victory, but 1,000 of their soldiers were lost in battle. Colonel William Prescott and his soldiers unforgettably killed many British soldiers, but lost in war. " Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes," (Prescott, 1775).

On October of 1777 the battle of Saratoga occurred. Benedict Arnold lead the British soldiers, but while in the war he was planning to betray the British American soldiers and their leader Gates gained a victory. " Over time, Arnold came to feel that Congress had not rewarded him enough for his heroic actions at Saratoga and other battles. Influenced by his bitterness and his wife, he betrayed his army. In 1780, he agreed to turn over an American fort to the British," (History Book, pg. 199).
Battle of Yorktown
The battle at Fort Sackville happened on May of 1778 through February 1779.. The American's and their leader, George Rogers Clark, defeated the British soldiers and their leader Henry Hamilton. This battle was the last win of America's winning streak. " In 1778, George Rogers Clark captures British outposts on the American frontier without firing a shot. Though the British retake Vincennes, Clark regains it after a short battle in 1779, ( History textbook, pg. 203).
This battle was the end of America's winning winning streak because Lord Cornwallis lead the British to victory. America and their leader Horatio Gates were devastated of course, but they still had hope that they were going win the Revolutionary War. Camden occurred on August of 1780. " When the city’s 5,000defenders surrendered, the Americans lost almost their entire Southernarmy. It was the worst American defeat of the war, (History textbook, pg. 209).
The last fight in the Revolutionary War happened in Virginia in 1718. George Washington lead America to victory and Lord Charles Cornwallis lead the British. " Although some fighting continued, Yorktown was the last major battle of the war. When the British prime minister, Lord North, heard the news, he gasped, “It is all over!”, (History book, pgs. 211).
