Storyboard Text

  • I am Robert Hooke. I just found these "honeycomb-like structures" on this cork. I think I'm going to call them cells because they look like monk cells.
  • My name is Robert Brown and today I discovered that cells have a nucleus!
  • The trees are made of cells! The grass is made of cells! All plants are made of cells!
  • My dog and cat are made of cells! All animals, including us, are made of cells!
  • What did you learn today Rudolf?
  • Cells come from preexisting cells!
  • Hi. We're cells! Thanks to Hooke, Brown, Schleiden, Schwann, and Virchow, we know have our theories. All cells come from preexisting cells, all living things have one or more cells, and the cell s the basic unit of structure and function.
