Survivors by, Erin Hunter. The Empty City (First person)
Old Hunter: Help! If you get me out of here, I'll give you the meat I caught.
Who are you? Are you going to hurt me? I am Lucky. I'll get you out of here if you give me food in exchange.
Yikes. Looks like I am going to have to give up lunch...
Give us your food, or else...
Bruno: Hey, stop right there, you scavengers! Leave him alone.
Bella: That is my brother!
Martha, I need your help. I am stuck in the river's current when I was trying to drink water!
Where is Bruno? I need to teach the pack how to hunt, I cannot do it without him.
Lucky: I wandered around the city after the earthquake. I encountered dangers at every turn. Then, I eventually meet a dog named Old Hunter and realizes he is in danger from an electrical fire and saves him. At first, I was terrified for the his size but after all we became friends.
This was a close call.
Sorry guys, when I went into the water to get a drink, I got swept away.
Wow, you guys made it back just in time.
I took the meat and I encountered four foxes who are after my food. They must have been waiting for this moment. I'm cornered! But, surprisingly Pack of dogs appears and drive off the foxes. I recognized my litter sister, who is now named Bella.
We only caught one animal so far, I thought there would be more rabbits. But everyone wanted to eat before we catch the next.
I'm full already!
After I left the city, I and the pack encountered a fresh river, it was very hard to find with all of this pollution. After drinking and playing in the water, I decided to teach the dogs how to hunt. Then, I heard a large splash and howling...
Lucky, we need your help! Bruno is stuck in the river current.
Lucky, when are we going to hunt?
I hear a big splash and see Bruno trapped in a current. I glanced behind me and noticed Bruno is missing! Martha began howling, and I jumped into the river with Martha to bring Bruno to safety. We then brought him to the river bank.
Are we going hunting after this?
I yawned... I looked up into the sky and it was early in the morning. This is a great time to go hunting! We quickly caught a rabbit and shared it within the pack I actually think that the dog=spirts are rising in our pack...
