Storyboard Text

  • Women, we need to stand up and fight for our right to vote. We are not any less then than the men of this country.
  • *Agrees and cheers*
  • Mississippi like many other states is against us because they think we will not care or respect the government. That's where Wyoming and other western states will support us and help us along in this movement.
  • We need to start protesting. We will convince the US one state at a time.
  • You are under arrest.
  • I am Susan B. Anthony and... oh no. Run!
  • Women wouldn't care about their rights! You would be in competition with men. The votes would not be true. we will not risk the good of our government.
  • Those who have to obey the laws should have a voice in making them. You could increase the amount of educated voters.
  • Women protesters are growing more numerous. This will not look good for me, Woodrow Wilson, in office. I guess we will have to start arresting them.
  • Maybe I will allow women to vote, but it will have to get through Congress first.
  • You cannot do this to us. I am Alice Paul, one of the proud leaders of this movement and you will not silence us.
  • The 19th Amendment of Congress states that men and women have the same rights in the US. People should not be denied of their right to vote because of their gender.
