  • Han Chinese  we are the image of Chinese people
  • The Uighur people are Chinese people from Xinjiang who don't fit the image of what the government wants you to be. This includes your looks, thoughts and beliefs.
  • Uighur: People don't want me here but I was born and raised  here so I consider myself Chinese.
  • The government thinks that everyone should be Han Chinese, because of this all Uighur people are put in reeducation camps to try and "fix" theway they think and act.
  • 2009 riots started between the Uighur people and the Han people. This lead to the government reducing freedom of religion and a big increase in surveillance in 2016-17
  • The government portrays the camp as such a colorful place and says they give them nice things and good resources that they need.
  • I love here we get to do so many fun thing and we even sing songs
  • From the stories we hear, the people in the camps are being tortured and are being force to learn Chinese laws, songs, and are forced to march.
  • The government claims that the only people in the camps are people who have been suspected of wrongdoings but people are being put into camps even if they have done nothing wrong and have nothing to do with extremism.
  • News paper Chinese Nationalism innocent people  being tortured government tying to hide it
  • No one is allowed into my camps
  • But sir I just wanted to get the story so I can write the truth
  • The camps are not a good place but we don’t have that much proof because they don't let anyone in to observe the camps, but people who come out of camps have been telling their stories about how bad it is and how they will not be able to keep this secret much longer.
