In this scene, Tad and Jeffrey were in 4th grade. This was the first time they met. Tad comes in and Jeffrey notices that Tad has all the same things as him. Jeffrey guesses that Tad also had or has cancer. Jeffrey decides to point out that he had it to, hoping it would make Tad feel better. This scene is important because this was the first time they met. And if this didn't happen, who knows if they would have met?
Wow, congratulations! What do you want, a medal?
I had cancer too
In this scene, the "8th Grade Walkout" is taking place. Basically everybody walked out of the school during testing. During the 8th grade walkout, a gym teacher tells Tad his wheelchair better not leave the building. So, Tad says "Fine!" and gets up and walks out. This is important because Thad finally started walking in front of people on his own.
In this scene, Tad is getting a bone marrow transplant in the hospital while Jeffrey is about to do his 50 mile bike ride. Jeffrey just opened the package that Tad gave him and in it was an ipod and a pair of pull-ups with a note attatched to it. The note said "All right, Jeffy. Here are some big-boy pants. Put em on and crank out 50 miles for me. By the way, the ipod only has 1 playlist on it. Press play when you leave the starting line, ok?"
Please come home Tad
