- "Then as if waking from a deep sleep, he slapped my father with such force that he fell down and then crawled back to his place on all fours."It's man vs man because there was conflict between two people. His dad was being attacked and mugged by an officer.
- Man vs Nature
- Its so cold
- "Was I awake? How was it possible that men, women and children were being burned and that the world kept silent?"It is man vs self because he is arguing with himself and can accept the fact of what is going on. His mind cant make a decision with it's self so thats why its man vs self.

- “no longer accepted God’s silence” This is man vs god because he had gave up on god and didn't wish to be apart of him anymore. He didn't believe in god due to god not protecting the Jews.
- "We went off to work as usual, our bodies frozen. The stones were so cold that touching them, we felt our hands would remain stuck."The nature is causing them to struggle making it a man vs nature conflict. The harsh weather made their job way more difficult.
