" Here I am world famous Oedipus and I am ready to stop the zombies.
Here Oedipus is telling the priest that there are zombies instead of a plague.
" You can see for yourself-the city is like a ship rolling dangerously" (6).
" There is a blight on the crops of the land" (6).
The city is very dangerous right now because of all these zombies.
Oedipus is talking to the priest about how the zombies are destroying the city.
" And now Oedipus, power to whom all men turn to, we beg you, all of us here, in supplication find relief for us" (7).
I will save this city from all of the terrifying zombies.
Oedipus will have to find a way to stop the zombies with a cure. He thinks so highly of himself (hubris) and this presents a problem. Oedipus must learn to overcome this in order to develop a cure and save the city.
Oedipus is showing hubris because he thinks one person can stop all of the zombies.
