Storyboard Text

  • I will not have slaves on my ship!
  • Remember. Only the guilty ones stay afloat.
  • In Chapter 1, Prudence Cruff drops her doll in the river, and Kit goes into the water to retrieve it. She is thought to be a witch by Mistress Cruff.
  • In Chapter 2, Kit complains about the smell of horses about the ship. Nat gets angry and yells at Kit. He yells because he does not wnat innocent poeple (slaves) rotting away below decks.
  • In Chapter 3, as Kit is about to leave Nat and the sailors to go into Aunt Rachel's house, Nat reminds Kit about her being able to swim as a trial of witchcraft.
  • In Chapter 4, Kit and all the other women get caught by Uncle Matthew trying on Kit's many dresses. Uncle matthew tells the girls to give everything back to Kit.
  • Father, no!
  • In Chapter 5, after Meeting in the morning, Kit finds out that she has to go to an afternoon service as well. She does not want to go  because it was just SO BORING.
  • I won't do that AGAIN!
  • In chapter 6, Reverend Gershom Bulkley and Uncle Matthew get in a fight over dinner and they fight over the new governor and the King's charter to Connecticut.
  • There are worse things than revolution!
