Storyboard Text

  • The day is June 6, 1944. D-Day, one of the deadliest invasions of American history. Troops are scattered everywhere on the beach.
  • DON'T YOU DIE ON ME!
  • Next the Americans had to take the high hills from the Germans.
  • GET DOWN!
  • The Americans had took the hills but artillery still rained down on them from German guns deep inland.
  • INCOMING!
  • LOOK OUT!
  • The Americans are charging the beach. Bullets spray across the beach from machine guns. Thousands of our men have been mowed down. The beach is a all out warzone.
  • Are boys began marching inland toward France. And the rest of the German forces
  • The hills were heavily fortified with gun emplacements. They were firing at point blank at our boys.
  • Finally after six days of marching we reached inland France. We were greeted by many French people who were happy to see us.
  • Our boys were running through fields constantly under artillery fire. We thought Jezz we now its a war but can the Germans hold fire fore five seconds.
  • Back home our boys were honored by the president himself
  • Today we honor these men for their bravery on that beach.
  • It was raining heavy yet we still marched through the mud filled grassland and dirt roads
  • When our boys reached the towns they were starving and they had a good time in the towns but soon we had to leave France to come home.
  • So this is France. Wow its a lot more pretty than I thought.
  • All of our boys were proud to be heroes that liberated France from those Krauts.
