In this Chapter the audience digs deeper into the background knowledge of his fear; being like his underachieving father.
Okonkwo is highly admired in his community despite his poorly achieved father. During this chapter we see a new character trait of Okonkwo; we see that he does not have regard for less achieved or fortunate people and his anger gets in the way is certain situations throughout the chapter.
This chapter reveals more new characters and we learn that Okonkwo is not a party fan. We learn/ predict this when he is on edge about a holiday feast called, Feast of the New Yam. We also discover more traits about his wives and how he treats them.
Here is Chapter 6 we learn that fights are a very big event in the village and we understand that a ongoing fight was ended in the chapter as instead of a usual tie, one overcomes the other winning the fight after a long time.
