There was a girl named Medusa and she usually spends most of the day looking at the mirror at herself.
I look beautiful!
Everywhere Medusa went she would boast that she is the most beautiful person.
I am prettier than all of you people!
Medusa is going to Athena's temple because she thinks she is prettier than Athena.
They should make a temple about me for my beauty.
When Medusa arrived she saw Athena and she went to her to boast about her beauty.
I am PRETTIER than you Athena!
I've had enough of your boasting and you will be punished!
And so Medusa got punished and her hair turned to green snakes and she lived with the blind monsters and with the Gorge sisters.
The theme of Medusa is to not brag or boast or you'll be punished. In the beginning, Medusa was boasting that she was prettier than everyone in Athens. In the middle, she went to Athena's temple and said that she is prettier than Athena and they should make a temple to honor her beauty. In the end, Athena punished Medusa and Medusa was never seen again. This shows that you should not boast or you will be punished.
