My name is Dan and I will be demonstrating Newton´s Laws
The first law states, an object at rest will stay at rest and an object in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force.
Lets say I have a ball. It is not in motion.
However, if I kick the ball it will be in motion untill a force, like my foot acts on it.
The second law law states, the acceleration of an object depends on the mass of the object and the size of the net force applied.
Pretend that you have 2 wagons, one with rocks and one with feathers. You would only need to exert a small force on the wagon with feathers to move it and would need a larger force on the one with rocks to move it.
If you apply the same force, the greater the mass, the smaller the acceleration. The one with feathers would move faster.
Also Newton´s 3rd and final law states, when a force is applied to an object, the object exerts an equal force in the opposite direction.
Its like when you bounce a ball to the ground and it bounces back up to you! The ball pushes on the ground and so the ground pushes the ball back up.
