Born in February 1, 1902 in Joplin Missouri, Langston's parents separate soon after birth because of segregation
During his childhood, Langston lived with his grandmother,Mary. Langston and his grandma were poor at the time and could not afford many things.
I graduated from Lincoln university!
After Langston's grandmother died, Langston goes on to live with his mother and settled in Cleveland, Ohio. It was at this time, Langston started to write poetry.
Langston graduates high school in 1920 and then publishes his first poem a year later called, "The Negro Speaks of Rivers". He then also starts living with his father in Mexico.
Langston enrolls in a Columbia university but then drops out. Langston kept making poems and got a scholarship to attend to Lincoln university. Langston stays there and graduates from Lincoln university in 1929.
Langston's autobiography until age 28 was published in 1940. Langston keeps writing books and poetry but then dies from complications of prostate cancer in May 22, 1967.
