Howerever when UN inspectors were sent to Iraq to monitor the dismantling and destruction of these weapons the Iraqis ordered them to leave in 1998.Suspicions of development of mass destruction weapons came back in 2002 and when the UN inspectors came back the Iraq leader refused to cooperate. Bush argued that Hussein (Iraqi leader) could be close to completing the development of a powerful weapon to use against the United States or any of its allies.
