Geography Homework - Development
By 16brettl, Updated
This storyboard is my geography homework and is about development. You will be taken on a journey through ancient Egypt, supermarkets, labs and deserts to find all about development!
What does development mean? Development is a noun and according to the dictionary is is 'the process of developing or being developed' or ' an event consisting a new stage in a changing situation'. Come on an exciting journey with me to find out more!
Now look where I am standing. I am in an Egyptian tomb. But this place won't always be like this it will develop and then change...
Lets look at the first example of development 'the process of developing or being developed'. A baby isn't a baby forever, it grows up and becomes an adult.
...to become a supermarket! Although I think that is very unlikely!
The second type of development was 'an event constituting a new stage in a changing situation'. This could be like a new breakthrough in an experiment!
Any new developments?
No, not since last year.
But what is development in geography? At first I thought it was how land changes and develops. But actually development in geography is a part of geography that looks at the quality of life and how development changes peoples lives for the better or the worse.
I'm afraid that is all we have time for today. I hope you have enjoyed your adventure!
