Percy and Jason have been dating since sophomores in high school. Thay are now Seniors and Percy has Slowly cut Jason off from everyone. Jason thinks Percy and being controlling and doesn't know what to do. Percy believes this is how relationships go due to him growing up with his step-dad, Gabe. Jason managed to gain some alone time, so he called his older sister, Thalia.
Thalia, I need some help.
Jason! It's good to hear your voice again. You need to leave Percy.
Jason, if I wasn't under house arrest, I would go down there and bet the crap out of that punk
I know Thals. . . It's harder than it looks.
Percy won't let me do anything without him there. I barely got the time to call you.
No! If Percy found out you were coming . . . I don't know what he'd do. Besides, I-I can handle it.
So what changed?
Cut the tough guy act. Just because you're a jock doesn't mean you gotta act tough. I know you're scared. Have you tried getting help?
He used to shower me with affection. Every day I felt loved.
What did you ever see in this dude anyway?
No. I can't do anything.
He got clingy and jealous. He thought everyone was his enemy and I would leave him. I wish his mom never remarried.
It's not his parent's fault that he turned into a jerk. That was all him.
I think he learned from his stepdad. He always acts like that o his mother.
Then they both need t be locked up. Jason, the point is, you have to leave him.
Get the authorities or your school involved. You have options, you just haven't used them yet.
Y-Yeah. I'll try. I got to go. Percy's back. Bye.
The next day Jason got the in-school cop and he arrested Percy and later his step-father. Percy is heading off to juvie for abuse and battery, and Jason is getting closure. Remember, there is always a way out that can be safe. Abuse and unhealthy relationships are NEVER good.
