  • We meet the characters: the narrator, who repeatedly insists on his sanity, and the old man, whose pale, blue eye so disturbs the narrator
  • Climax
  • Who's there
  • The narrator tell us that he isn't mad. He tells us about the murder of the old man living with him and insist that he didn't hate old man 
  • Falling Action 
  • The narrator tells how every night he goes into the old mans room and stairs at him while he sleeps   
  • Resolution
  • On the Eighth night the narrator is in the old mans room again. As he stands and stairs at the old man while he sleeps suddenly the old man sits up in his bed as he lets out a cry "Who's there??!". Our narrator doesn't make a move.
  • After the Narrator Finally kills the old man on the eight night He cuts the body up and hides the parts under three floors boards
  • The neighbor heard the scream of the old man so they notified the police. The cops show up, The man seems to convince them that it was him who screamed but then the narrator begins to "hear" the heart beat of the old man and begins to go crazy and admits that he killed the old man.
