Long ago when there was nothing, Odin King of all Gods, created the worlds.
First, he created a landFist he created a land for his enemies, the giants .He let out a terrible, thundering roar and set out a wind as cold as ice, and then a land of frozen icebergs rose from the ground. He called it Jotunhiem land of the Giants.
Next, he created a land for us, humans. This time he breathed quietly and calmly and a warm, lovely wind blew, and then a beautiful world full of life and happiness rose from the ground.
Then, Odin took two trees, muttered somethinginto the leaves, and turned them into the first manand woman! He called it Midgard home of the Humans.
Then, in the blink of an eye, there rose upa shining, dazzling city, full of palaces made of goldand silver. With towers that almost touched theclouds. Odin called it Asgard. City of the gods. In the day itwill glitter in the bright, gold light of the sun, in the night it willglimmer in the shining, white light of the moon.
And, as an amazing final touch, he joined Asgard to Midgardwith a fantastic bridge made from a spectacular, beautiful rainbow!
