Calbe Mason is a 11 year old in middle school. His Dad wants him to get on the soccer team even though Calbe dose not want to. They have a fight in the kitchen his Dad yelling "You will join the team."Calbe runs up the stairs slamming the door to his room yelling "No!"
The next morning Calbe woke up , changed ,stepped down the stairs , and ate breakfast. He saw his Dad at the dinner table still as stone looking out the window. He felt a twinge of guilt settle in his stomach as he opened the front door to go to school, and he spoke quietly "Bye Dad."
At school he told all of friends about the argument, and spoke "My Dad is just overreacting, right?" His friends just looked at him worriedly, and asked "Is your Dad okay." After that the twinge of guilt began to sprout and it grew through out the school day.
Falling action/ Resolution
At the end of the school day Calbe saw his Dad's car, and walked over to the car. He got in as Dad drove of unbearable silence. His Dad stops the car and turns around with a look of desperation. He takes a deep breath, and ask's Calbe "Please son, please join the team".
A few seconds pass, and Calbe makes his decision "I will join team." His Dad's lips turn into a big smile as he say's "Come over here," giving Calbe a big hug. Calbe find's himself smiling at his Dad, and that ball of guilt in Calbe's stomach disappears. He now feels lifted he feels free.
Calbe's Dad say's "Lets go get ice cream."Calbe smiles at his Dad nodding saying "Yum."While Calbe's Dad is driving Calbe thinks to himself maybe soccer will be fun, and maybe I'll be good at it. You never know until you try it.
