In a civilization stable food supply is important. They had a good food supply because they had a big river right by them and good farming.
Also another part of civilization is social classes. There where three different social classes . The fist class had slaves and peasants. The top class had government officials and Pharaohs. Merchants, farmers and artisans. Each class lived differently .
I big part is a working government. A pharaoh was the head of the government had complete control over everyone. Government officials consisted of Vizier, general of armies and chief treasurer. They kept a strong and stable government.
Religion was very important. They based a lot on how they lived off of religion. They built temples and gave things to please the gods. The people belived that they would have a better afterlife if they pleased the gods. A big way that they did that was art. Art was made from objects and paint. Art helped people with farming like tools.

Inventions helped the people and the government. They made life and work faster. Some inventions were Nicer clothing, medicine like gum and eye makeup.
The last example is writing. Ancient Egypt was the first to have a alphabet. It was very hard and only scribes wrote. They had to know 600-700 symbols. They wrote documents such as laws and records
