Bayek and Shikre were brothers who built their homes next to each other. Bayek was known as the smartest man in Egypt and was highly respected. Bayek and his wife, Aya, opened a mailing business all over Egypt, and they made lots of money,
One day, Shikre went over to Bayek's house and found his journal. Inside was a picture of a triangular shape that would generate power. Shikre thought nothing of it at the time. He thought his brother and sister and law would be hungry,so he began preparing a meal for them.
Aya came home early, because she was feeling sick,She went to lay down in her bed. Shikre's meal was coming along, but he put a little too much oil in the flame. The fire roared to life rising as tall as the house.
The second floor had been lit on fire. Aya was asleep up their. Shikre quickly jolted into the house and leaped up the stairs. A wall of fire blocked the path to the bedroom. Then, he shouted ,"AYA, AYA WAKE UP!" It was no use all of the second floor had been burnt and Aya was most defiantly dead.
As the fire was spreading, Shikre ran for the door, but the sight of Bayeks's journal stopped him. He grabbed it and ran out of the house. He watched and cried as the fire laughed at him while destroying Bayek's life. When Bayek arrived at his home burnt to a crisp; he was devastated.
For days, weeks, and a few months ,Bayek grieved over his loses. His business shut down and he became homeless. During all that time Shikre had stolen his brothers idea and given it to the emperor. He became rich and powerful. Quickly, Bayek was forgotten. Shikre saw a man on the street and decided to give him some money. He looked into his eyes as green as an emerald and saw real pain. The type of pain that is deeper than himself. Shikre gave him all his money, told him everything he had done, and was ready to face the consequences.
