In this selection, a family who is living in a futuristic home spoils their children with technology. The parents see how important the technology is to their kids and how much more they depend on it more then themselves and their parents.
Too much technology
When parents spoil their children, it can have irreversible consequences.
"This house clothed and fed and rocked them to sleep and played and sang and was good to them."
The Veldt by Ray Bardburry
"Even the technology that promises to unite us, divides us." -Dan Brown
This quote suggests that this house spoiled them by doing everything for them.
In my evaluation, Character develops theme the most. The characters in The Veldt are the reason that the children were spoiled and did the things they did.
This quote supports the idea that he spoils his children and knows it.
"But nothings too good for our children."
This quote suggests that they given their children everything they've asked for and is getting back attitude from the children as the consequence.
"We've given the children everything they ever wanted. Is this our reward- Secrecy, disobedience?"
