standing on the steps of his house, Dakota a cherokee boy is confuse. He doesn't know how to deal with a problem he has.
the problem he has is confusing. he wants to talk to someone about it but has no one to talk about it. the problem he has is a dream he keeps having. the dream he keeps having is about him all alone in the dark woods. no one is there but he feels a presence there like a ghost or spirit.
his uncle listens and finally said that the dream means that he is lost and confused. he needs to chose which road to follow- the red mans road or white mans road.
the dream has been bothering him for a long time now and he needs to know what it means. one day he finds out. his uncle comes to visit him and dakota tells him is dream.
