Storyboard Text

  • EVAPORATION
  • TRANSPIRATION
  • CONDENSATION
  • This is Randy the raindrop, he is starting the journey of the water cycle. The fist stage is getting enough energy to leave the group of water and turn into a gas (water vapour).
  • PRECIPITATION
  • Some of Randy's raindrop friends comes from the stems or leaves of plants and evaporates from all the 
  • SURFACE RUNOFF
  • Then Randy had to cool down to form clouds, this is called condensation, this is ready for the next stage or the water cycle.
  • GROUNDWATER
  • Randy then falls from the clouds as precipitation (rain) and carries on his journey as a raindrop again.
  • Some of Randy's friends join a river or a stream and flows down to the channel where it makes its way back to the main river or ocean.
  • the other raindrops use a different way to get back to the ocean or river, groundwater flow. By landing on the surface the raindrops infiltrate through the ground and below the surface and back towards the river. After Randy made it towards the ocean again the water cycle repeats.
