  • Batman is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, and first appeared in Detective Comics (1939). Batman became popular soon after his introduction and gained his own comic book title,Batman, the following year. The late 1960s Batman television series used a camp aesthetic, which continued to be associated with the character for years after the show ended. Various creators worked to return the character to his dark roots, culminating in 1986 with The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller.

Instead, he relies on pure strength, intelligence, martial arts abilities, detective skills, science and technology, and lots of wealth. Batman was originally suppose to look sort of like superman. No boots, no gloves, no gauntlets, and a small mask with reddish tights. Also With a pair of stiff wings to resemble a bat. Influences for Batman came from early films such as Scarlet Pimpernel 1903, Zorro in 1919, the mark of Zorro a year later, And the Bat Whispers in 1930
  • I always wondered why everyone liked batman so much, people tend to love things that they can relate too. How could anyone relate to a billionaire superhero? Well probably because unlike every other superhero, underneath all them gadgets and all that wealth is just an average ol person. Somebody born how we are, raised how we are, and dealt with normal problems like we have. Batman is known as the hero who never kills, but that is farrrr from the truth. The original batman, say the 30s, 40s, and 50s batman would often toss gangsters and thugs off a rooftop or into tubs of very vital acid. In the original batman comic, he even disassembled a group of henchmen with a machine gun
  • Arkham Asylum was based on the Sanitorium in the fictional city of Arkham, Massachusetts It’s not just Gotham that exists in real life - Batman does too, as a city in Turkey. While you would assume that the city would welcome the connection to one of the world’s most iconic comic book heroes, the mayor of Batman, Huseyin Kalkan, tried to sue Warner Bros. and Christopher Nolan for using the name without permission after the release of The Dark Knight which grossed over $1 billion worldwide.
