Hannibal's father was the head of the Carthaginian army who is an enemy of Rome and that hatred passed down to Hannibal who took an oath.
In the second Punic war Hannibal wanted to fight against Rome with the people from Spain that is under his control and gained more fighters along the way across the mighty Alps.
We must keep going!
Sadly, the troops in the army couldn't keep Hannibal's plan to attack Rome a secret and the Romans got to know about the plan, so they would have an advantage.
In the meantime, Rome was attacking other armies like Spain and making sure that no Carthaginian armies were coming by sea.
After a few years Hannibal's army was falling apart and no one would join his army to turn against Rome.
Please help us.
When Hannibal failed in the second Punic War, the Romans wanted to prison him and make him suffer for fighting against Rome so Hannibal drank poison and died.
