  • There are no representatives in a direct democracy. The citizens direct have power over the law.
  • Monarchy
  • Our eldest daughter is next in line to rule.
  • A theocracy can co-exist with any other type of government, but the power of god or a divine being has ultimate authority and can settle disputes.

  • I'm In Control!
  • In a dictatorship, one ruler has ultimate power over everyone. They also have control over the constitution, and they still control other parts of government such as courts, and law makers.
  • Communism
  • A monarch, or monarchy, is a form of government ruled by a royal family. Monarchs are chosen through the family bloodline, and in modern days, they usually share the power with other forms of government.
  • In an anarchy, there is no ultimate power or form of government. Everyone looks out for themselves and in a way, everyone has the power.
  • No! I'm In Control!
  • In a communist government, all property is publicly owned, and each person works and is paid based on ability and need.  There are no socioeconomic classes in a communist society.
