Issac is 25 years old landless laborer in New York City along the Hudson River. Issac's father participated in Prendergast riots against landlords in the Hudson Valley. Thereafter he died and Deane family lost its lease and was prohibited from rent land from any other landlords. Issac, as an elder son, had to provide for family so moved into the city to deal with matter of survive.
Issac needed land ownership for his economically better future and ability to vote. So he was actively engaged as a member of Sons of Liberty to defeat British army and Loyalists like Frederick Philipse and Beverly Robinson, supporting a Patriot victory in order to advance revolution and let Patriots control New York City at the end of 1776.
Issac vigorously participated in all political matters, making his voice heard during debates in the Provincial Congress. Also he gathered people as many as he could on the street, including women and slaves, for mob action. As a Son of Liberty, he had a chance to target Loyalist Phillipse who is in town for the Provincial Congress. Issac had to try attack him with mobbing for moving forward the Patriots revolution, or exposing Phillipse as an enemy of the people.
