From a very young age, men are taught to be strong and independent, while not showing that they're hurting inside. This patriarchy needs to be destroyed and a new one implemented that accepts men who are allowed to be vulnerable and weak at times, just like women.

- I lost my tournament, Dad. I worked so hard for this, and now it's gone.
- Oh, suck it up buddy. You'll get 'em next time. Now go clean up and do the chores your mom asked you to do.
- As a young boy..
- What happened, son??

- My girlfriend. She broke up with me..I don't know where I went wrong.
- Pfft. Man up. We can go out to the clubs later tonight and find more chicks. They'll be all over you.
- What's up with you?
- I appreciate that you always show me love. I'm kinda curious though, why don't you ever tell me about your day or how you're feeling? You know I'm here for you right?
- I'm fine. I grew up with my parents and friends always telling me to man up and not show that I'm upset because I have to be strong and tough. But it's fine, really. I just kinda wish it was different.
