rising action: the man has been feeling this bitter cold that made him feel cold but not feel as if he was numb and the husky was starving and needed a fire to be kept warm
climax: the man gathered all the materials needed to create a fire after falling thorugh a ice cap explained "he increased the size of the twigs with which he fed it." (line 261)
falling action; he failed to make a campfire and started to become cold with his fingertips freezing and thawing out. describe in the story "high up in the tree one bough capsized its load of snow. this fell on the boughs beneath, capsizing them. this process continued, spreading out and involving the whole tree."(line 324)
resolution: the man ends up dying of being too cold and starving, with his dog leaving towards the camp
